Meeshy Mac is a children's book author and creator of a new series of interactive role-playing board books for toddlers and preschoolers. Her mission is to ignite and foster a love of reading in young learners by creating stories that feel more like playtime than a lesson. Her books spark imagination and invite little readers to play pretend alongside the grown-ups they love.

Her first book, Pretend You're a Puppy!, invites children to bark, shake a paw, dig, and earn treats! Her second book, Pretend You're a Kitty!, is coming soon!
Meeshy's background in theatre arts production and performance fuels her passion for storytelling, imagination, and pretend play. From children's theatre to Shakespeare to musicals, her theatrical experience spans hundreds of productions. Now, as a parent, Meeshy treats every role-play adventure and puppet show like a little stage performance, and she wants to bring that same joy and sense of play into homes everywhere.
Meeshy is a neurodivergent author creating books for neurodiverse children. (That means all!) She understands that dramatic and play doesn't come naturally to every child. Her books give children fun, simple prompts for how to play pretend, helping them build confidence and discover their own imaginative play.
When she's not writing or working on publishing, you can find Meeshy at the library, checking out picture books for her preschooler and contemporary fiction for herself. She lives in Dallas, Texas, with her husband, daughter, and happy blue heeler named Ranger.
